Motorbiking in the Passeiertal
The Passeiertal prides itself in perfect conditions for an adventurous motorbike tour in South Tyrol: mountain roads, numerous passes and bends contribute to a sense of hightened driving pleasure.
Motorbike tour over the Jaufenpass:
The Jaufenpass connects the Passeiertal with the Eisacktal and is the shortest route between the towns of Sterzing and Merano. At the end of the Passeiertal a series of bends takes you up to 2.094 m. From there you can either descend on a curvy road to Sterzing or make an excursion to Innsbruck.
Motorbike tour Timmelsjoch:
The Timmelsjoch is regarded as one of the most challenging alpine tours for bikers. It not only marks the border between North and South Tyrol but is also located along the European water divide: 44 bends, 49 km in length, toll road, closed in winter.
Motorbike tour Penser Joch:
The Penser Joch connects the cities of Bozen and Sterzing and reaches an altitude of 2.211 m. Attention: the Penserjoch is only open from May until November.
